MARATHI PARIS

Where can I buy your jewelry?

Our jewelry is currently on sale exclusively on our e-shop.
It is possible to make an appointment at a distance before confirming your purchase. The founder will be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you make the right choices.

We make most of our jewelry in India, in Jaipur, a city renowned for its jewelry know-how and expertise in colored stones. We are fortunate to have experienced partners who are willing to work with small quantities of recycled metal to avoid overstocking. We have also chosen to manufacture our creations in workshops that respect the environment and the well-being of the craftsmen.

JEWELRY ON DEMAND

Just send an e-mail to contact@marathi-paris.com with the reference number of the jewel you want, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible with details of how long it will take to restock.

Yes, that’s right. As with all our silver and vermeil models, the purchase is made in the same way.

When you make your purchase, we simply tell you that the manufacturing-to-receiving time is 6 to 8 weeks. We want to avoid overproduction, so we don’t make the most precious pieces in advance.

We don’t offer bespoke creations at the moment, but would like to do so soon for gold models. We still invite you to send us your request to the following address contact@marathi-paris.com and we’ll get back to you to discuss the possibilities.

PAYMENT

We accept payment by credit card (Carte Bleue / Visa).
We will soon be able to accept payment via paypal and klarna in 3 instalments, free of charge.

PRECIOUS STONES AND METALS

Like silver and gold, vermeil is considered a precious metal. It is made of solid silver (925) with a 5-micron layer of 18-carat gold. So vermeil is quite different from simple gold plating, which is achieved by applying a very thin layer of gold, from 1 to 3 microns, usually to brass, and sometimes to non-solid silver.

As a result, vermeil is brighter and, above all, more resistant, retaining its brilliance over time. This justifies its higher selling price than simple plating. It’s also an allergy-free metal, since it’s composed solely of silver and gold, making it ideal for people with a tendency to allergic skin reactions to metal.

The use of vermeil dates back to Antiquity, when gold and silver were frequently combined. Because of its resistance and lower cost than gold, vermeil was highly prized in France from the 18th century onwards for jewelry and precious objects, and was even used to make the crowns of French kings.

Every stone used in our jewelry is of natural, unheated origin. This is why they can sometimes show irregularities that are simply a reflection of their naturalness. We use fine stones such as pink or green tourmaline, black spinel; ornamental or hard stones such as lapis lazuli, turquoise, malachite, onyx, rose quartz and, of course, precious stones such as sapphire or diamond on our gold models.

CARE

Many models in our collections are made with a thin layer of enamel applied to the metal, silver or vermeil. The enameling technique follows a very meticulous process at our partner workshops, which ensure that the enamel is properly applied to each piece passing quality control.

However, enamelled areas remain delicate and must be handled with the utmost care. In particular, we strongly advise you not to keep your enamelled jewelry in the shower, while swimming in the sea or during a spa session with hot steam, as the quality of the enamel could deteriorate.

Perfumes and cosmetics applied directly to enamel should also be avoided. To maintain its shine, you can clean your enamelled jewelry from time to time with a soft cloth.

DELIVERY

We’ve taken particular care with our jewelry packaging, which is handmade in India from recycled materials. All our packaging is made-to-measure: bags and mini kits in house colors that could become beautiful collectibles. They’ll help you transport and store your jewelry with ease.

We offer secure delivery of your parcel, usually dispatched within 3 to 5 working days in France, and around 1 week to 10 days internationally. Shipping is free in France for orders over €500, and internationally for orders over €1000.

As soon as we receive your package, you have 14 days to send us your request and ship your return. The returned jewel must have kept its label and be sent in new condition in its complete original packaging.
